Box Office Manager

The applicant would be available immediately and will require:

-Box office management experience preferred
-Strong computer skills (Word, Excel)
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Ability to forge productive working relationship
-Knowledge of basic financial concepts
-Ability to handle multiple tasks
-Public Relations experience a plus

Day to Day activity would be as follows but not limited to:

-Manage / process day to day tickets sales
-Answer phones and emails from patrons daily
-Prepare end of day ticket sales reports and bank deposits
-Available for extended hours on show weekends and box office hours up to 7 times per year
Assist the Marketing persons execute the following:

* Postcard mailings
* Prepare posters
* Prepare mailing list/labels

-Respond to box office inquiries
-Create events in theater management software (show dates, create GL accounts and set price codes)
-Coordinate with House Manager for each production to ensure the theater is ready
-Ensure a professional working environment
-Train and coordinate box office volunteers
-Deliver invoices and deposits needing to be processed
-Retrieve paid invoices and authorize payments as needed
-Business Office Filing

Technical Director

L/A Community Little Theatre is looking for a part time Technical Director.
The applicant would be available immediately and will require the following:
This position is a 20 hour/week part time position and as such must be limited to achievable goals that will have the most benefit to both individual productions and the theater as a whole.
The main goal is to facilitate technical challenges of individual productions and the theater as a whole by working with all of the stakeholders.

Some of the goals include:

The TD will assist in the maintenance of technical equipment by working with and training volunteers in the required maintenance of equipment.

The TD will review scenic and lighting designs for individual productions with the director, designer and/or head builder to identify and solve challenges within the design and requirements of the production to insure safety, feasibility, and resource management in equipment, volunteers, stock materials and budget.

The TD will help solve challenges through personal knowledge, collaboration with other members of the artistic community within and without CLT and/or research into specific technical challenges within individual productions. (i.e.: painted scrims and other scenic devices etc)

The TD will assist in and teach or help find a teacher for techniques for specific solutions and challenges for individual productions within the limits of the time available as determined by the TD. (i.e. the creation of said scenic devices)

The TD will develop and implement a program of stock materials by working with individual production and working with volunteers to build, rebuild and/or disassemble materials as is conducive to a long term stock material program.

The TD will assist and work with volunteers to maintain the overall physical plant of the theater.

The TD will assist in the communication and sharing of materials and information between individual productions and experts both within and without the theater.

The TD will confer with and advise the Artistic Director, the Board of Directors, the Production Board and other stakeholders identified by these groups in relations to policy, resource needs and feasibility of projects.

The TD will assist in the maintenance of and verification of ongoing inventory of technical assets.

The TD will make recommendations for maintenance and purchase of new equipment in consultation with the members and other experts as necessary.

The TD will not take the place of any traditional roles within individual productions as part of this position.

The TD will not be required to be present for every show, rehearsal and/or tech day as a requirement of this position. The TD's presence in such cases will be at the discretion of the TD. Job description subject to change by the Board of Directors.
