In talking with her, I could see this was the perfect job for her. She is excited and thrilled to have been selected for this dream job. She has been on the job a month and is already placing her stamp on the box office.

Danielle reports “I am incredibly excited to be taking on this role. I never dreamed an opportunity like this would present itself. Now, not only am I utilizing my degree in Advertising and Marketing and calling upon my office management experience, but I get to combine these with my lifelong love of CLT and the stage. I get to do what I'm good at, and what I love. It's really a perfect fit.”

Danielle’s resume is brimming over with what she has done in theater. She grew up at CLT, beginning her stage career at seven years old playing an orphan in “Oliver.” Since then, she has since appeared many times on the CLT stage including roles in "The Wizard of Oz", "Alice in Wonderland", "Singin' in the Rain", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Scarlett Pimpernel" and "Man of LaMancha".

She has also worked backstage in many jobs—painting, fitting costumes, applying make-up, changing scenes. Her natural love of theater has involved her parents, Don and Kate, who are often sought after for their expertise on set design and construction. Their work was seen recently on the set of “The Full Monty” while Danielle worked the spotlight. And now her younger siblings, Jake and Michelle, have followed in her footsteps onstage. She is pleased that her fiancé, Nate Eaton, has recently joined the family in set construction. “It’s really a family affair,” she says happily.

Danielle’s theater experience served her well in college as she choreographed productions for St. Mary’s High School in Lynn. A student of dance, she is experienced in tap, ballet, jazz and pointe. Her productions included “Cotton Patch Gospel,” “Annie,” “The Wizard of Oz” and “Alice in Wonderland.” Last year she directed “Little Shop of Horrors” for St. Dominic Regional High School Drama Society.

She will also have the opportunity to choreograph “Children of Eden” opening next season in October and is eagerly anticipating working with Director Jonathan Carr.

Her lifelong ties to CLT have been strong and her volunteer work and enthusiasm were recognized in the Eastman Scholarship awarded by CLT upon her graduation from St. Dominic’s Regional High School.

Danielle has often said CLT is like a second home to her and so she feels right at home in the box office. She has settled in and is comfortable with the day to day operations and is already working on her first big project-- the ticket sales for “Deathtrap” running June 18-27. Danielle is looking forward to meeting the patrons and invites them to call the box office at 783-0958 or access the website www.laclt.com to purchase tickets. Advance tickets are $15 except for the June 24 performance which is $13.

Danielle says she is just where she wants to be in life: a dream job, a wedding in the future, an opportunity to choreograph a show in the fall, and a loving, supportive family who shares her interest in theater.
