Ashley - September 15th, 2021, 6:00 p.m.

(Cardio Choreo)

Participants in this class will learn several simple choreography skills, which we will then combine into a routine full of energy and excitement. Think “Zumba,” but make it Broadway! The dance steps will be accessible, the music will be upbeat, and the fun will be plentiful! This class is for anyone who loves musical theatre, and is prepared to get a little sweaty! Please come dressed in clothing that is comfortable and does not restrict your movement. Footwear should be supportive and attached to the foot. For your safety, please no sandals, slip-ons, or Crocs. Music selections will include “My Shot” from Hamilton. Music used will be a “clean” version that is appropriate for all ages.

Eileen - September 22nd, 2021, 6:00 p.m.

(A Little Bit of Burlesque)

“A Little Bit of Burlesque" chair dance. You will learn a fun, empowering and accessible routine (32 bars)  you can whip out at the drop of a bowler hat! We will provide the chairs, just wear something that makes you feel comfortable and great (and maybe even a little sexy!). For both men and women. Music selections for this class will include “Express” by Christina Aguilera and “River” by Bishop Briggs.

Lacey - September 29th, 2021, 6:00 p.m.

(Fosse)

Fosse was known for “jazz hands”. You will learn what made the Fosse style so great. With his distinct style, Bob Fosse created many beautiful pieces.  Think Chicago, Damn Yankees, and The Pajama Game. Please come dressed in clothing that is comfortable and does not restrict your movement. Footwear should be supportive and attached to the foot. For your safety, please no sandals, slip-ons, or Crocs. Songs to be danced to are "Steam Heat", "All That Jazz" and "Rich Man’s Frug".

Ashley - October 6th, 2021, 6:00 p.m.

(Golden Age Grooves)

Participants in this class will learn brief, beginner-level dance combos to several classic Broadway tunes. If you love shows like Oklahoma!, Guys and Dolls, and West Side Story, then this is the class for you! Please come dressed in clothing that is comfortable and does not restrict your movement. Footwear should be supportive and attached to the foot. For your safety, please no sandals, slip-ons, or Crocs. Music selections will include Surrey With the Fringe On Top (Oklahoma!), Gee, Officer Krupke (West Side Story), Luck Be A Lady (Guys and Dolls).

Eileen - October 13th, 2021, 6:00 p.m.

(Broadway Basics)

We'll go over 8-10 basic steps you 'll find in classic broadway choreography (and learn why choreographers will include them in audition pieces), and then we'll create several 32 bar short routines using them with different classic b'way tunes. You shouldn't have to worry about dance auditions anymore!

Lacey - October 20th, 6:00 p.m.

(Tap Your Heart Out)

You will learn the tap basics that are used in so many musicals. No tap experience necessary. Tap shoes are NOT needed. We will go over proper execution of the movements not worrying about the sounds. Think Anything Goes, 42nd Street, Crazy for You and maybe a little Singin’ in the Rain. Footwear should be supportive and attached to the foot. For your safety, please no sandals, slip-ons, or Crocs. Songs to be danced to are "Singin’ in the Rain", "I’ve Got Rhythm", "Anything Goes" and "42nd Street".
