OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Community Little Theatre is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization.
Our goal is to provide affordable, professional quality entertainment in the
performing arts while at the same time fulfilling our civic responsibility
to contribute to the education, training and experience of those wishing
to pursue activities in live theater.
OUR BLACK LIVES MATTER STATEMENT
Lewiston-Auburn’s Community Little Theatre has been a proud member of this community for over 80 years. We strive to represent ALL of our members and to
serve as a safe place for all that participate with us.
As such, we stand by the Black Community – and indeed all communities of color – against oppression and violence.
We also stand against any and all acts of racism and prejudice.
Sadly, our doors are currently closed – but our hearts are open and we wish to add our voices to those calling for the need for change. Open or closed, we will continue to do our part – particularly in raising awareness – to ensure that racism is not tolerated and that all members of society are treated equally with the expectation of justice for all.
OUR DIVERSITY AND INCLUSIVITY STATEMENT
Community Little Theater (CLT) is proud to be actively committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive environment for all patrons and members. CLT is dedicated to include involvement from all without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, or age. We have created a safe space for everyone who joins us, where we foster a sense of belonging and where people can be their authentic selves without fear of retaliation or harassment from anyone. We believe that art can only be created in a safe space and that diversity and inclusivity are an integral part of making theater and to this end, we are committed to being inclusive to all in our community.
OUR ANTI-HARASSMENT POLICY
We recognize that to achieve our mission to provide professional quality entertainment in the performing arts, we must operate in a climate of mutual respect and in an environment that enables everyone to perform to their best potential. Therefore, it is Community Little Theatre’s policy to strictly prohibit harassment, as well as inappropriate or unwelcomed behavior.
