CLT Receives $20,000 Grant from Davis Family Foundation
Updated: Oct 14, 2023
The Community Little Theatre (CLT) was notified recently that it has been awarded a grant in the amount of $20,000 from the Davis Family Foundation.
The grant funds will be applied toward CLT’s major stage lighting and sound equipment project. Significant funds are needed to complete major upgrades in these two critical technical areas. Divided into five phases, this project includes the acquisition and installation of a new lighting console, a power distribution rack, and stage pars. New sound equipment will include a digital mixer, power connectors, high output/low profile strip lighting, color source spot lighting, and a moving spot with framing shutters.
Earlier this year, CLT received a $20,000 donation from the East Auburn Community Unit to assist with stage lighting upgrades that are already underway at the theatre.
The Davis Family Foundation, established by Phyllis C. Davis and H. Halsey Davis, provides grants primarily to Maine-based educational, medical and cultural/arts charitable organizations.
