The cast and crew of L/A Community Little Theatre Presents A New Home were thrilled to be joined by Roxanne Baker, a member of the Deaf community, and interpreter Tristen Downey to learn American Sign Language (ASL) for this production. All 31 members of the cast will sing and sign the song "One More Goodbye" during the show.
Community Little Theatre is also proud to announce that we have received a grant from the Maine Arts Commission in support of A New Home. This funding will play a vital role in advancing our commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Specifically, it will support the cost of ASL interpretation for two performances: the Sunday, November 2nd matinee at 3:00 pm and the Saturday, November 8th evening performance at 7:30 pm.
We are especially grateful for this opportunity to ensure that members of the Deaf and hard of hearing community can fully experience and engage with this production, which seeks to honor and reflect the diverse voices of our community!
